Hello, my name is Denise Hayes
It is my privilege to share the gift of spiritual direction with those who wish to enter more deeply into the discovery of God’s loving presence in their lives. Whether in a retreat setting or in one-on-one sessions, spiritual direction offers gentle and joyful accompaniment so that each person may enter more freely into the place where God speaks to their heart.

Denise lives in Central New Jersey with her husband. She is the mother of four adult children and the joyful grandmother of two. With a professional background in music education, Denise previously directed choral programs for children and youth. In her parish, Denise has taught religious education classes, initiated a welcome ministry, and helped coordinate Eucharistic Adoration. Over the years, Denise has come to appreciate the comfort and clarity that spiritual accompaniment provides, and it is her privilege to be able to share that gift with others. Denise is currently enrolled in the School of Spiritual Direction of Franciscan University of Steubenville. Her approach to spiritual direction is to create a safe space for sharing, so that all may hear the gentle voice of God’s love.
